With the possibility of rain we think we might not have to water, but when the wind comes up and the rain doesn't come, what does one do?
Well with the no or very little rain and the wind the way it has been the topsoil is drying quickly. But not to fear. the soil is still pretty moist for the time being, or is it? Yes those areas that are exposed to the rain but what about under that evergreen or under the eves of your house? Now is the time to take a soil moisture test and make sure it isn't bone dry. Neglectful dryness can lead to wind burnt and dry plants which could ultimately lead to dead or dying plants. Make sure your plants in covered areas are watered even in our rainy or so called rainy season.
